Privacy Policy — Interval Timer
Nothing is sent unless you say yes. Interval Timer has no account, no sign-up, no advertising and no third-party tracking service, and the timer itself works entirely offline. It can send anonymous counts of what happens in the app to the developer's own server in the EU — but only after you have been asked and agreed, and you are not asked until you have finished your first workout.
What is sent, if you agree
This is the complete list. Nothing else leaves your phone, and there is no other recipient — the data goes to a server the developer runs, not to Google, an analytics company or an advertising network.

What is never sent
- Your name, email address, or any account — the app has no accounts at all.
- Your location, in any form.
- The names you give your own workouts. Only the number of workouts you have saved is counted.
- Your advertising ID, your device ID, your phone number, your contacts, your photos, or anything else on your phone.
- Any record of when you exercised. The app sends running totals, not a timeline.
Your choice, and the law behind it
Analytics are off until you turn them on. You are asked once, after your first workout finishes or you stop it — never when you first open the app. Both answers are offered equally, nothing is pre-selected, and if you decline you are not asked again.
Where this matters legally: sending this data relies on your consent under § 25(1) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. No other legal basis is claimed for it. You can withdraw at any time, as easily as you gave it, using the Share anonymous usage data switch in Settings — withdrawing stops all sending immediately, discards anything still waiting to be sent, and replaces your random ID so any future opt-in cannot be linked to this one.
IP addresses
When your phone contacts the server, the server necessarily sees the IP address your connection comes from — this is how the internet works and no app can prevent it. That address is not stored, not written to any log, and not used: the server keeps no access log, and the web server in front of it has logging switched off. Your IP is never linked to your install ID or to anything else.
Where it is stored, and for how long
On a server in the European Union, operated by the developer. There is no third-party analytics provider, no sub-processor and no transfer outside the EU. Data is kept for as long as the app is being actively developed and is deleted when it is no longer useful, or immediately on request.
What the app stores on your device
All of this stays in the app's private storage on your phone:

The app does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage, or the advertising ID.
Android backup
If you have Android Backup enabled, your custom workouts and settings are copied to your own Google account, so they follow you to a new phone. This is a feature of Android operated by Google under your control — the developer has no access to it. Your Pro status, the usage counters and your analytics choice are deliberately excluded, so a new phone always asks you again rather than assuming an answer you gave on a different device.
Voice announcements
Spoken cues use the text-to-speech engine already installed on your phone. The app hands it short words such as “Los”, “Pause” or “3”. What that engine does with them is governed by its own provider's privacy policy — on most devices this is Google's speech service.
Purchases
If Pro is offered, purchases are handled entirely by Google Play. Payment details never pass through the app, and the developer does not receive or store them.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages. It has no ads, no external links and no accounts. Analytics are off unless someone actively turns them on, and even then nothing that could identify a person is collected.
Deleting your data
On your phone: uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in Android Settings, removes everything it has saved.
On the server: Settings has a Delete my usage data button that erases everything held under your random ID. Your ID is also shown there, so you can email it instead if you prefer. Turning the switch off without deleting stops any further collection and abandons the existing rows, which are then no longer connected to any app.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time, as well as the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Because the data holds nothing that identifies you, quoting the random ID from Settings is the only way to exercise these against a specific record.
Changes
If a future version collects something not listed above, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be described in the release notes.

Datenschutzerklärung — Intervall Timer
Ohne dein Ja wird nichts gesendet. Der Intervall Timer hat kein Konto, keine Anmeldung, keine Werbung und keinen Tracking-Dienst von Dritten, und der Timer selbst funktioniert vollständig offline. Die App kann anonyme Zählungen dessen, was in ihr passiert, an den eigenen Server des Entwicklers in der EU senden — aber nur, nachdem du gefragt wurdest und zugestimmt hast, und gefragt wirst du frühestens nach deinem ersten Workout.
Was gesendet wird, wenn du zustimmst
Das ist die vollständige Liste. Nichts anderes verlässt dein Gerät, und es gibt keinen weiteren Empfänger — die Daten gehen an einen Server, den der Entwickler selbst betreibt, nicht an Google, an ein Analyseunternehmen oder an ein Werbenetzwerk.

Was nie gesendet wird
- Dein Name, deine E-Mail-Adresse oder ein Konto — die App hat überhaupt keine Konten.
- Dein Standort, in keiner Form.
- Die Namen, die du deinen eigenen Workouts gibst. Gezählt wird nur die Anzahl gespeicherter Workouts.
- Deine Werbe-ID, deine Geräte-ID, deine Telefonnummer, deine Kontakte, deine Fotos oder sonst irgendetwas auf deinem Gerät.
- Jede Aufzeichnung darüber, wann du trainiert hast. Gesendet werden laufende Summen, kein Zeitverlauf.
Deine Wahl und die Rechtsgrundlage
Die Analyse ist aus, bis du sie einschaltest. Du wirst einmal gefragt, nachdem dein erstes Workout beendet oder abgebrochen wurde — nie beim ersten Öffnen der App. Beide Antworten werden gleichwertig angeboten, nichts ist vorausgewählt, und wenn du ablehnst, wirst du nicht erneut gefragt.
Rechtlich stützt sich das Senden dieser Daten auf deine Einwilligung nach § 25 Abs. 1 TDDDG und Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO. Eine andere Rechtsgrundlage wird dafür nicht in Anspruch genommen. Du kannst jederzeit widerrufen, so einfach wie du zugestimmt hast, über den Schalter Anonyme Nutzungsdaten teilen in den Einstellungen. Ein Widerruf beendet das Senden sofort, verwirft alles, was noch wartet, und ersetzt deine zufällige Kennung, sodass eine spätere Zustimmung nicht mit dieser verknüpft werden kann.
IP-Adressen
Wenn dein Gerät den Server kontaktiert, sieht der Server zwangsläufig die IP-Adresse, von der die Verbindung kommt — so funktioniert das Internet, und keine App kann das verhindern. Diese Adresse wird nicht gespeichert, in kein Protokoll geschrieben und nicht verwendet: Der Server führt kein Zugriffsprotokoll, und beim vorgelagerten Webserver ist die Protokollierung abgeschaltet. Deine IP wird nie mit deiner Kennung oder mit sonst etwas verknüpft.
Wo die Daten liegen und wie lange
Auf einem Server in der Europäischen Union, betrieben vom Entwickler. Es gibt keinen Analyse-Anbieter, keinen Auftragsverarbeiter und keine Übermittlung in ein Drittland. Die Daten werden aufbewahrt, solange die App aktiv weiterentwickelt wird, und gelöscht, sobald sie nicht mehr nützlich sind — oder sofort auf Wunsch.

Die App fordert keinen Standort, keine Kamera, kein Mikrofon, keine Kontakte, keinen Speicherzugriff und keine Werbe-ID an.
Android-Backup
Wenn du Android-Backup aktiviert hast, werden deine eigenen Workouts und Einstellungen in dein eigenes Google-Konto kopiert, damit sie auf ein neues Gerät mitkommen. Das ist eine von Google betriebene Android-Funktion unter deiner Kontrolle; der Entwickler hat keinen Zugriff darauf. Dein Pro-Status, die Nutzungszähler und deine Analyse-Entscheidung sind bewusst ausgeschlossen — ein neues Gerät fragt dich also erneut, statt eine Antwort zu unterstellen, die du auf einem anderen Gerät gegeben hast.
Sprachansagen
Die Ansagen nutzen die auf deinem Gerät installierte Sprachausgabe. Die App übergibt ihr kurze Wörter wie „Los“, „Pause“ oder „3“. Was diese Engine damit macht, richtet sich nach der Datenschutzerklärung ihres Anbieters – auf den meisten Geräten ist das der Sprachdienst von Google.
Käufe
Falls Pro angeboten wird, werden Käufe vollständig über Google Play abgewickelt. Zahlungsdaten laufen nie durch die App und werden vom Entwickler weder empfangen noch gespeichert.
Kinder
Die App ist für jedes Alter geeignet. Sie hat keine Werbung, keine externen Links und keine Konten. Die Analyse ist aus, solange sie niemand aktiv einschaltet, und selbst dann wird nichts erhoben, was eine Person identifizieren könnte.
Daten löschen
Auf deinem Gerät: Deinstallieren der App oder „Speicher löschen“ in den Android-Einstellungen entfernt alles Gespeicherte.
Auf dem Server: In den Einstellungen gibt es die Schaltfläche Meine Nutzungsdaten löschen, die alles unter deiner zufälligen Kennung Gespeicherte entfernt. Die Kennung wird dort ebenfalls angezeigt, du kannst sie also stattdessen auch per E-Mail schicken. Den Schalter auszuschalten, ohne zu löschen, beendet jede weitere Erhebung und lässt die vorhandenen Zeilen zurück, die dann mit keiner App mehr verbunden sind.
Deine Rechte
Nach der DSGVO hast du das Recht auf Auskunft, Berichtigung, Löschung, Einschränkung der Verarbeitung und Datenübertragbarkeit sowie das Recht, deine Einwilligung jederzeit zu widerrufen und dich bei einer Aufsichtsbehörde zu beschweren. Da die Daten nichts enthalten, was dich identifiziert, ist die zufällige Kennung aus den Einstellungen der einzige Weg, diese Rechte auf einen bestimmten Datensatz zu beziehen.
Änderungen
Sollte eine künftige Version etwas erheben, das oben nicht aufgeführt ist, wird diese Seite aktualisiert, bevor diese Version erscheint, und die Änderung in den Release-Notes beschrieben.
